IDSO: Authy Authenticator Not Loading
The IDSO primarily uses MFA apps such as Authy for accessing a platform called Xero.
However, due to the discontinuation of Authy's Desktop app, users might report that they are failing to log into Xero because they have no means to access the authentication code. This is resolved by following the instructions provided below:
1. Log in to Xero using a web browser.
2. Xero then prompts you to authenticate using either push notifications or a code generated by an authenticator app.
3. Since in this case the user can’t authenticate using the app, you can use a backup method. You’ll need to enter a code sent to your backup email address (zimworx email).
4. Once logged in, you can change the authenticator app registered for MFA by clicking the user's initials or profile image, and then selecting Account.
5. Under Additional Security, click Change in the Connected Device section.
6. Choose an authentication method (use your own authenticator app), then install Chrome Authenticator for the TM and scan the QR code to set it for Xero access.
